Fence Lighting Along the Edges You Want to Highlight.
A line of Christmas lights on your fence gives the yard an outline of its own. We decorate the sections you choose, from a short front fence to the stretch beside your driveway.
Follow your fence line
Fence Lighting From the Gate to the Corner Post
You can light one section of fence or continue around several sides of the yard. Gates and posts provide natural places to begin, end, or add another detail to the display.
Front Yard Fence Lighting
The fence facing the street can be a display on its own. Its long, low outline gives you room for a color pattern that is easy to see as you arrive home.
- Fence sections along the street
- Boundaries around the front garden
- Short runs on either side of a gate
Gate & Post Lighting
A gate breaks up the fence line and gives the display a clear entrance. We can discuss lighting the posts and surrounding sections while keeping the way you use the gate in mind.
- Pedestrian gates
- Driveway entrances
- End and corner posts
Side Yard & Driveway Fences
A fence beside the driveway lets the lights continue farther into the property. Choose the stretch you enjoy seeing from the car, porch, or house.
- Fences alongside driveways
- Side yard boundaries
- Sections connecting to the front fence
Fence Light Colors & Patterns
A repeating color pattern suits the length of a fence, while a single color gives it a simple outline. We can coordinate it with lights already planned for your home.
- Warm white bulbs
- Alternating holiday colors
- Matching colors for future extensions

How we work with you
Lighting Your Home's Fence
The fence can connect separate parts of a home display or be the only area you decorate. We help you choose the runs that make sense for your yard and the views you enjoy.
Lighting Your Business's Fences
A fence along a business property offers another place for seasonal lights. Show us the sections visitors see and the gates used by staff, customers, or deliveries.
Lighting the Fences at Your Neighborhood Entrance
Entrance fencing can extend a neighborhood display past the sign and pillars. We can help your community decide how far to carry the lights along each side.
The Front Boundary
Lights along the fence facing the street outline your whole yard and give your home a clean, finished edge that people notice from the road.
Gates You Use Every Day
Light the gate itself along with the posts on either side so it stands out after dark. We place the lights so the gate still opens and closes freely all season.
Backyard & Patio Fences
Light the fence around your backyard or patio so you can enjoy the lights from inside the house, not just from the street. It makes evenings outside during the holidays feel a little more special.
Split-Rail & Farm Fences
Light a split-rail or farm-style fence along the road so the front of a larger property shines, even on acreage. Long, open fence lines make some of the most eye-catching displays in the area.
Fences Facing the Street
Decorate the visible boundary of your property with a line of Christmas lights. A fence lined with lights along the road catches the eye of drivers passing by and makes your business easy to spot after dark.
Vehicle & Pedestrian Entrances
Outline the gates where customers drive and walk in so they are easy to find after dark. We keep the lights clear of anything that needs to open and close during business hours.
Parking Lot Fence Lighting
Light the fence around your parking lot or along the side of the property so the whole lot feels part of the display, not just the front. It also helps customers see the edges of the lot when they pull in after dark.
Patio & Outdoor Seating Fences
Light the fence around a patio or outdoor seating area so it feels warm and inviting in the evenings. It turns a plain railing into part of your holiday display for customers to enjoy.
Fences Beside the Entrance
Lighting the fence on both sides of the neighborhood entrance gives residents a welcome home the moment they turn in. It also makes the entrance easy for visitors to spot from the road at night.
Posts & Gateways
Wrapping the posts where the fence turns a corner or meets a gate gives the display clear anchor points. It outlines the shape of the entrance so the whole fence line looks planned, not just strung along.
Wreaths & Garland on the Fence
Hang wreaths along the fence lights or run garland across the top rail so the greenery and the lights work together. It gives a long stretch of fence more to look at.
Trees Along the Boundary
Fence lights run low along the ground, so lighting a few trees just behind it adds height the fence can't. Together they frame the entrance from the fence line up into the branches, and residents see it from much farther down the road.

Christmas Lighting Inside Your Fence Line
Once your fence lights are up, the rest of the yard is right there waiting. You can carry the lights into the trees, along the front walk, or up to the roofline, and we'll help you choose the pieces that work best alongside the fence.
FAQs
Fence Lighting Questions
Fences run long and turn corners, so most questions are about how much to light and what happens at the gate. Here are the answers we give most often.
How much fence lighting should I include?
That is really up to you. We recommend lighting the parts of the fence where you want to see lights, whether that is a short front section or the whole boundary.
Send a photo of the yard and show us where you would like the lights to start and stop, and we will plan the layout from there.
How do you price fence lighting?
We generally price by the foot, so the length of fence is a main part of the quote. Include gates, posts, or other details you would like decorated when you describe the job.
Your quote is free, and we send your invoice once installation is complete.
How will lighting work around a gate?
Tell us which gates open and how they are used, and show them in your photos. We plan the lights around them to ensure the gates are still usable all season.
We will discuss the arrangement around those areas before installation, including which adjoining posts and fence sections to light.
Can I add a fence to an existing We Hang Em display?
Yes. We can quote fence lighting as an addition to your current display, with matching light colors available.
Returning customers keep the same annual price for the existing display. New or changed work is quoted separately.
What if bulbs go out along the fence?
Call us about failed bulbs or lights that come loose. Repairs are completed within 48 hours, weather permitting.
Fence lights receive seasonal maintenance along with the other Christmas lights we install.
Who takes the fence lights down?
Our crew removes them after the holidays. We aim to finish takedowns by the end of January, with snowy or icy weather sometimes extending the schedule into early February.
Your lights remain yours. We repair the lights as needed and keep them in climate controlled storage between seasons.
